Music
The Vietnam war caused a lot of protest amongst American citizens. They demonstrated against the war. It was the after war generation, which just wanted to have peace. In the sixties, singers started to write songs about racial segregation and other abuses. Protest songs became a new music genre. A good example is Bob Dylan.
Woodstock was a really big festival organized in America back then. “3 days of peace and music” was it’s motto. People sang many protest songs against war, like the I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag" by Country Joe and the Fish.
